Nitin Batra — 25+ years in Indian tourism, 500+ senior trips personally planned — reviews your situation and builds an itinerary specific to your mobility, pace, health context, and comfort level. Not a template. Not a sales call.
Most India tour enquiries get a generic package in return. This is different.
When you reach out to White Pigeon Holidays, Nitin Batra — who has planned over 500 senior trips across India — personally reviews your situation and builds something specific to you.
Your mobility. Your pace. Your health context. Your preferred comfort level.
Not a template. Not a sales call. A real conversation with someone who knows India the way a local does — and knows exactly what makes a senior trip succeed or fall apart.
Most people aren't sure what to expect when they first contact a tour operator. Here's exactly how it works with White Pigeon Holidays.
Tell Nitin the basics — over WhatsApp, a phone call, or email, whichever feels easiest:
You don't need all of this figured out. Many clients start with nothing more than "we want to visit India sometime in November." Nitin asks the right questions from there.
Not a brochure. Not a starting-from price. A day-by-day plan built around your specific situation — with named hotels, verified lift access, drive schedules with rest stops, monument accessibility notes, and all-in pricing in USD.
If you've mentioned a knee replacement, the itinerary already has Mehrangarh Fort by elevator, Amber Fort by jeep, and Lake Pichola by boat. That's the level of detail we work to.
Change a city. Add a night somewhere. Swap a hotel tier. The itinerary belongs to you — not to a fixed package. Most clients finalise after two or three exchanges. There is no pressure to confirm before you're ready.
Before you fly, you receive:
You arrive in India prepared — not anxious.
Nitin's personal number is in your phone from Day 1. Your guide has it. Your driver has it. If anything needs adjusting mid-trip — an extra rest day, a different hotel, an early morning that needs to shift — one message sorts it. You are never on your own.
The more honestly you share upfront, the better the itinerary we build. Here's what helps us most — and why.
| What to Share | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Travel dates | Determines weather window, hotel availability, and flight pricing |
| Group size & composition | Affects vehicle type, room configuration, and guide-to-guest ratio |
| Mobility or health context | Determines route, hotel selection, and accessible monument options |
| Hotel comfort preference | 5-star, premium 5-star, or luxury heritage — very different pricing |
| Destinations of interest | Golden Triangle, Rajasthan, Kerala — or a combination |
| Trip duration | Shorter trips need tighter routing; longer trips allow meaningful rest days |
| Budget range (approximate) | Helps us recommend the right hotel tier immediately without back-and-forth |
| Past India experience | First-timers and returning visitors need very different pacing and destinations |
We work specifically with senior travellers from the UK and international visitors who want private, thoughtfully planned India experiences — not group bus tours.
No forms. No automated email sequences. A direct conversation about your India trip — dates, destinations, health or mobility context, and what you most want from the experience. Nitin will tell you honestly whether your plan is right.
Each circuit is a complete experience — and they combine naturally for longer trips. Every destination below has been planned for senior travellers specifically.
Honest numbers — not starting-from prices that bear no resemblance to reality once you add your actual requirements.
| Tour & Duration | Land Cost Per Person (USD) | What's Included |
|---|---|---|
| Golden Triangle — 8 days | $1,150–$1,500 | 5-star hotels, private vehicle, English guide, monument entries |
| Golden Triangle — 10 days | $1,400–$1,900 | As above with extra nights and slower pace |
| Rajasthan — 10 days | $1,400–$1,900 | 5-star hotels across 3–4 cities, private vehicle, guide |

The eVisa process changed in April 2026. There is now a mandatory e-Arrival Card required separately from your eVisa — missing it causes delays at Indian immigration. Download the free checklist — it covers everything.

Honest answers — before you get in touch.
Within 24 hours on any working day. WhatsApp messages to Nitin's direct number typically get a reply the same day — often within a few hours. For complex enquiries that need a full itinerary draft, allow 24 hours. No automated emails, no holding queues, no customer service portals.
No. Many enquiries start with "we're thinking sometime in winter — what are our options?" That's a completely fine starting point. Nitin will walk you through the seasonal options and help you narrow down the best window based on your availability, the destinations you're interested in, and any events or festivals to factor in.
We recommend a minimum of 8 days for meaningful India travel as a senior — 10 days is the sweet spot for a Golden Triangle circuit. The first 1–2 days involve adjustment to the time zone, new food, and a new environment. Those days shouldn't be counted as intensive sightseeing. Trips under 7 days exist but the trade-off in pace and comfort is significant.
Absolutely. Returning visitors often want deeper Rajasthan — Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer — or a combination of Rajasthan and Kerala. Some want Varanasi (which we plan very carefully for senior travellers given its physical demands), Ranthambore for wildlife, or a hill station in Kerala. Tell Nitin what you've already seen and what drew you back — the itinerary builds from there.
Yes — with the right planning, it works extremely well. The key sites are more accessible than most people expect: the Taj Mahal has electric golf carts, Amber Fort has jeep access to the upper gate, Mehrangarh has a working elevator, Kerala's backwaters are entirely by boat. Specific mobility requirements shared at the enquiry stage are built into the itinerary from the start — not adjusted later.
Share the parents' approximate age, any relevant health or mobility context, their energy level (active and walks several miles, or needs a full rest by afternoon?), and what they most want to experience. Also let us know if you'll be travelling with them or organising remotely — we plan accordingly either way. Adult children organising senior India trips for parents are one of our most common enquiry types.
The majority choose our premium 5-star range — 5-star hotels with verified lift access, quiet locations, and strong restaurant options. A significant proportion choose heritage or palace hotels in Rajasthan, where the properties themselves are a highlight of the trip. We recommend against budget guesthouses for senior travellers — the saving is not worth the compromise in accessibility and comfort.
We guide you through it step by step and provide a detailed checklist — but the application must be submitted personally by the passport holder on the official Indian government portal (indianvisaonline.gov.in). We cannot submit it on your behalf. The process takes about 20 minutes once you have your documents ready, and most approvals arrive within 72 hours.
No — travel insurance is separate and must be arranged independently. We strongly recommend specialist senior travel insurance that covers pre-existing conditions (AllClear is a well-known UK provider with no upper age limit) and medical evacuation. We remind you about this during pre-departure preparation and can advise on what to look for in a policy, but the arrangement is yours to make.
Nitin's direct number is available throughout your trip — your guide and driver both have it. For medical situations, hospital contacts are printed in your trip documents and saved on your guide's phone before departure. Major Indian cities have excellent private hospital networks — Apollo, Fortis, Aster, and Max are internationally accredited and experienced with international patients. You are never managing a problem alone.
Yes — and most clients do. Nitin is based in India so in-person meetings aren't possible for UK travellers, but phone and video calls are straightforward to arrange. Most clients say the first conversation itself gave them the confidence to go ahead. A 15-minute call is genuinely enough to understand whether we're the right fit and whether the trip you have in mind is the right one.
WhatsApp Nitin with your basic situation — rough dates, destinations you've heard of, and group size. That's all you need. The first message doesn't need to be polished or detailed. He'll ask the right questions from there and the conversation develops naturally. Most people say they wish they'd reached out earlier.
25+ years in Indian tourism — from airport concierge through to senior leadership in national tour operations. Every senior itinerary is personally reviewed by Nitin before it reaches a client. You have his direct number from the first conversation, not from when something goes wrong.
