Sample Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrive Guwahati & Guwahati – Kaziranga by surface 240 km/05 hrs
Meeting and assistance on arrival & proceed straight to Kariranga National Park – a world heritage site and famous for the one horned Rhino.
On arrival, check-in at the Resort. Lunch at the resort. Afternoon at leisure.
Overnight at the Resort.
DAY 2
In Kaziranga
Get up very early in the morning for an exciting elephant ride. Enjoy the ride through the Park for 1 hr. to appreciate the beauty of famous one horned rhino, wild elephant, etc up close.
After breakfast, Jeep safari inside the Central range of the park. This drive is an ideal introduction to the park and its ecology as the route passes through the entire spectrum of habitat types prevalent in the area. There is a possibility of sighting elephants as well as the other Mega herbivores, Swamp deer etc. Afternoon go on a Jeep safari inside Western range of the National Park to enjoy the wildlife of the park. The route traverses the southwest portion of the park. This range has maximum short grass areas and is the optimum habitat for Rhino and Water Buffalo.
Dinner and overnight at the Resort.
DAY 3
Kaziranga – Dibrugarh by surface 250 km/05 hrs
After breakfast, proceed for Dibrugarh a historic old important tea town of Assam.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon visit a nearby village to see the culture and lifestyle of the local Assamese people.
Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4
Dibrugarh – Naharkatia – Dibrugarh by surface
After breakfast, morning proceed to the Nam-Phake village where a community named Tye-Phake resides. It is said that about 1000 years back this community moved from Thailand and settled down here.
Later ,Visit the Monastery to view the life style of these local people.
Drive back to Dibrugarh.
Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 5
Dibrugarh – Sivsagar – Jorhat by surface 180 km/03 hrs
After breakfast drive to Jorhat, the old tea town of Assam (03 hours).
On the way visit Sivasagar, the ancient capital town of the Ahom kingdom, who ruled Assam at a stretch of 600 years before the reign of British. The ancient temples and monuments like Ranghar, Talatalghar, Siva Dol can be seen.
Later proceed to Jorhat.
Upon arrival, check – in at the hotel.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6
Jorhat – Guwahati by surface 350 km/07 hrs
After breakfast, proceed to Guwahati by surface.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Evening go on a cruise on the river Brahmaputra (subject to availability & weather permitting).
Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 7
Depart Guwahati
After breakfast, In time transfer to airport to board flight for onwards destination.
