Experience Overview
Tours include daily jeep safaris with private guide to Wilpattu and Minneriya National Parks and entrance fees to both. All transportation is in an air-conditioned coach/minibus or car with private driver. All excursions include a private local guide.
Sample Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival Colombo / Negombo
On arrival the client will be met by the representatives and will be decorated with garlands of “Temple tree flowers”. Afterwards transfer to Negombo for leisure.
Approx. 20 minute drive to Negombo
A small Dutch Fort dated 1678 with a beautiful Dutch Church of the same date and the beautiful Angunukaramulla Buddhist Temple, close by are some other attractions. Seafood is particularly fine here – the superb lobster mayonnaise, the curried prawns are possibly the best in the World. Catamaran trips in the sea and boat trips in the lagoon are organized by hoteliers. Diving facilities are also available

DAY 2
Negombo /Dambulla
After breakfast drive to Dambulla enroute Visiting Sigiriya
Sigiriya is situated in the Central Province of Sri Lanka close to Dambulla. It is a fortress complex of a ruined palace and one of the World Heritage sites declared by UNESCO. Undoubtedly the most treasured historical monument in Sri Lanka and probably the most visited tourist destinations in Sri Lanka, The most looked forward feature of the fortress is the frescoes. Another fascinating detail is its mirror wall. Every step from the entrance to the top is a marvel on its own, and the interesting surroundings make the tedious climb to the top easy.

DAY 3
In Dambulla
Morning visit of Wilpattu National Park, guests are taken on an Morning safari into Wilpattu National Park to experience big game viewing of the parks with potential to see leopards, elephants, bears, buffalos, deer, crocodiles, jackals and many other animals and birds in their natural, jungle habitat and then back to the Safari Lodge for dinner
Afternoon travel to Minneriya National park for your afternoon safari from 2:30 pm. It is home to the largest known Asian elephant gathering on Earth. Guests relax and watch as these huge animals drink, play and snack on the green, lush grasses that have been exposed by the receding water.

DAY 4
Rest Day
A local guide is available for a village walk or for exploring the flora and fauna at the hotel of the stay.

DAY 5
Dambulla / Polonnaruwa
After Breakfast , Drive drive towards Polonnaruwa and check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
In the evening (Approximately 6:00 pm), guests will set out on a two to three hour evening safari in its natural jungle habitat

DAY 6
"Monkey Kingdom" Primate Center
After an early breakfast guests will leave the hotel at 5:30 am and head to Sri Lanka’s Primate Center for a Sri Lankan monkey excursion. Established over 50 years ago, the Primate Center is where Disney Studios filmed the movie “Monkey Kingdom”. It is home to three species of Sri Lankan monkeys, the Toque macaque, the gray langur and the purple faced langur. While visiting the monkeys in their natural jungle communities, visitors can observe their complex social interactions. Guests can observe behaviors including nurturing young, courtship, cooperation, and teamwork as well as dominance and aggression as the monkeys go about their day.
After the Monkey Kingdom tour the guests return to the their Lodge for lunch and have the afternoon free to relax or enjoy the hotel swimming pool.
DAY 7
Polonnaruwa /Kandy
After an early breakfast proceed to Kandy.

Lying amidst the hills, Kandy is the last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka. While being the second largest city in Sri Lanka it is also famous for its immense beauty and is named as one of the seven UNESCO declared World Heritage sites in the country. With its luxuriant prairie, picturesque lake, longest river of the country and misty mountains, Kandy successfully mesmerizes every visitor unsurprisingly.
Afternoon you will visit one of the world heritages as well as a sacred place for the Buddhists all over the world; namely the Temple of tooth Relic known to the Sri Lankans as Dalada Maligawa. Your next visit will be to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens which is a paradise for nature lovers. This beautiful flower Eden is restored with over 300 different varieties of orchids, other spices, medicinal plants and Palm trees. Every year more than 1.2 million people are enchanted by the beauty of these 147 acre flower gardens.
The real evidence of the richness will be affirmed by your visit to the Gem Museum. Sri Lanka produces the finest quality of gems in the world. Semi-precious gems, the sapphires of Sri Lanka, which are very exclusive and comes in shades of blue, red, green, white etc. In the evening you will witness a traditional cultural dance show.

DAY 8
Kandy / Colombo
Breakfast at the Hotel.
Continue your drive to Colombo enroute visiting Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage.
Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage
Enroute to your destination, you can visit one of the most important tourist attraction in Sri Lanka, the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. Volunteers and caretakers provide shelter and take care of orphaned, abandoned and injured elephants within the park. You can watch caretakers feed, bathe and help these gentle giants. You want walk with the herd to the nearby river to watch the elephants bathe and play around in water.

DAY 9
Depart Colombo
Breakfast at the hotel.
Sri Lanka’s commercial heart, Colombo (approximately 2.5 hours). The city is a cosmopolitan mix of vibrant street markets, colonial buildings, interesting museums, fine restaurants and great shopping opportunities
*Shopping– visit Mlesna exquisite tea boutique, cashew nut shop, ready made garments and all sorts at Majestic City. Visit the Lanka Ceramics Centre, a place where you can buy “NORITAKE SET” or other ceramic items, visit the ‘ODEL SHOP’ at Lipton Place. Visit ’BAREFOOT’, ’HOUSE OF FASHION’ and ‘BEVERLY STREET’ – 24 hours shopping arcade (garments only) at Kollupitya.
