Sample Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrive in Tehran and transfer to Espinas Hotel (Khalij-e Fars). Dinner at the Hotel’s Traditional Restaurant.

DAY 2

Meet in the Lobby for a short briefing. Depart the hotel for a full-day visit to The Archaeological Museum. After lunch at Ferdowsi Restaurant, visit the Crown Jewels Museum followed by a visit to the Carpet Museum. Enjoy a welcome dinner at Daloon Deraz Traditional Restaurant.

DAY 3

Depart Tehran for Sari. On route, stop to see some of the flora of central Alborz Range. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. In Sari, visit Imamzadeh Abbas Shrine with its beautiful architecture and Casket and grille in the inner sanctum. Overnight at Badeleh Hotel.

DAY 4

Depart for Nahar khoran Caspian Hyrcanian forest park. On route, visit Behshahr Garden and then part of the Wall of Gorgan. Overnight at Nahar Khoran Hotel.

DAY 5

Depart for Golestan National Park and opportunity to see some of 1350 of the Parks’ plant species. The Park apart from the incredible collection of diverse flora also houses 302 types of fauna. The Golestan National Park is one of the great wildlife habitats and national parks of Iran and has been appointed one of the fifty natural reserves of the world by UNESCO in 1976. Overnight in Camp in the Golestan National Park.

DAY 6

Today visit plains within the Park with an opportunity to see rarer flora. Picnic lunch. Return to the camp in the afternoon. Overnight at the camp.

DAY 7

Depart to Tehran via Shahrud with an opportunity to see a different flora habitat on Route. After lunch in Damghan, Continue to Tehran.

DAY 8

Leave Tehran for Isfahan. 4 hours from Tehran, visit Finn Gardens, a World Heritage Site. This Persian Garden accommodates a complete array of Persian Garden elements. Lunch will be at Abyaneh, a charming village South of Kashan. After a stroll in the ancient village with its unique architecture, depart for Isfahan. Overnight at the Abbasi hotel.

DAY 9

Today visit some of the highlights of Iran. The Naqsh-e Jahan Square, or Meydan, with four sites adorning the sides of the Square, is a World Heritage Site. After a morning visit to the sites and lunch at a local restaurant, leave the square for the Music Museum and Vank Cathedral. Overnight at the Abbasi hotel.

DAY 10

This morning, depart for The Yellow Mountain Range of the Bakhtiari and the Kouhrang Water Canal. Visit Dimeh mineral spring, before visiting the plain of Fritillaries. Overnight at Chelgerd hotel.

DAY 11

Depart Chelgerd for Shiraz via Dena Biosphere Reserve. Overnight at Zandiyeh/ Homa hotel.

DAY 12

Full-day Excursion to Persepolis, Naqsh-e Rostam, and Naqsh-e Rajab. In the Morning visit the incredible ceremonial capital of the Persian Empire, where the subject nation would congregate to honor the Persian king. Lunch will be at The Laneh Tavoos restaurant. After Lunch visit the small but interesting carvings of Sasanian kings from the 3rd century A.D. the ultimate visit of the day will be Naqsh-e Rostam, the extraordinary necropolis with tombs of some of the greatest Achaemenid kings, including Darius the Great, and a row of incredible 3rd and 4th-century bas-reliefs from the Sasanian Period. Overnight at Zandiyeh/ Homa hotel.

DAY 13

Begin This morning by visiting the Eram Gardens, now also a botanical garden and a World Heritage Site. Hafez, one of the all-time great Poems of Persia is buried in a charming garden, where he is paid homage to by Iranians visiting from near and far. Then visit the 19th-century private mosque of Nasir al-Molk. Lunch will be at Shater Abbas local restaurant. After lunch, visit Narenjastan-e Qavam House followed by the Citadel of Karim Khan and Shiraz Bazaar. Overnight at Zandiyeh/ Homa Hotel.

DAY 14

Departure from Shiraz International Airport.
