The most comfortable window for sightseeing, cultural experiences, walking tours, and photography. Temperatures are pleasant throughout — especially October–November and February–March when crowds are lower than December–January peak.
The coolest and most popular months. Days are pleasant (15–25°C), evenings cool — bring a light jacket for Jaisalmer nights. This is peak season, so book hotels and guides 3–4 months ahead. Jaipur Literature Festival runs in late January.
Temperatures rise significantly — April is manageable (28–35°C) but May and June can hit 40°C+. Fewer tourists, better hotel rates, and a quieter experience. Workable with smart planning: indoor sightseeing mid-day, early mornings for forts.
Rajasthan's monsoon is lighter than Kerala's or Mumbai's — dramatic skies, cooler air, and lush greenery you don't see the rest of the year. Some outdoor activities are limited. Jaisalmer sand dunes are best avoided in heavy rain.
