DAY 1
Arrival at Leh (3505 meters/11567 feet above sea level)
On arrival at Kushok Bakula airport Leh – 3500m above sea level you will be transfer to hotel and check in. day at rest for acclimatization. overnight stay at the Hotel in Leh.
DAY 2
Today after breakfast drive to visit Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed Stupa on a hilltop in Changspa, It was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura and part of the Peace Pagoda mission. Later visit Leh Palace. In the evening walk around local market. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Leh.
DAY 3
Leh and transfer to Uleytopko via Sham Valley, Alchi On arrival at Kushok Bakula airport Leh – 3500m above sea level. Drive Sham Valley & Alchi – Sightseeing of 1000 year old Alchi monastery the only Gompa in Ladakh region on flat ground., Thereafter proceed to the Likir Monastrey to visit the splendid three storey Dharma Wheel Gompa. Here you’ll be awestruck with the sight of the massive Buddha statues., Indus & Zanskar river Sangam, drive along the Indus river visiting, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill(where the cars defy gravity), Basgo Palace Hiking only and further on to Leh Hall of Fame(which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia) Arrive Uleytopko and check in to Hotel. Overnight in Uleytopko.
DAY 4
Uleytopko – Lamayuru – Rigzon – Uleytopko
Morning after breakfast tour to Lamayuru is one of the most authentic locations that is known as one of the largest and the oldest monasteries that lies at 127 km away from Leh. You will come across the Tibetan Buddhist style of structures and architecture. Rizong (or Rhizong) gompa, Gelugpa or Yellow Hat Buddhist monastery is also called the Yuma Changchubling in Ladakh, India. It is situated at the top of a rocky side valley on the north side. Evening back to Uleytopko. Overnight in Uleytopko.
DAY 5
Uleytopko to Kargil
After breakfast check out and transfer to kargil, Arrive Kargil check in to Hotel. evening walk and high tea at suru river. Overnight in Kargil.
DAY 6
Kargil to Suru valley excursion tour
Suru Valley is famous not just as the most fertile, but also as the most picturesque valley in all of Ladakh. The Suru River runs through the valley, which is dotted with scenic villages. It is a must visit place for tourists for its charming landscape, sightseeing opportunities, photography and spectacular views. The Suru Valley lies just across the Pensi La on the Kargil Road. It extends from Kargil in the south towards Zanskar, for a length of around 85 kilometers. Evening back to Kargil. Overnight in Kargil.
DAY 7
Kargil to Leh
After breakfast check out and transfer to Leh. Arrive Leh and check in to Hotel. Overnight in Leh.
DAY 8
After breakfast visit Stok palace & Matho monastery. Evening free for own activities. Overnight in Leh.
DAY 9
Tour of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Monastery. After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45km west of Leh, Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya Buddha and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Overnight in Leh.
DAY 10
Depart Leh
In the morning transfer to the airport to board the flight for your onward destination.
